PERSONAL PROFILE
Expert-advisor in Education, Research and Quality Management for the Romanian Authority for
Quality Management in Health, evaluator of health services and medical technologies, I represented
Romania in the Working Group for pharmaceutical products and medical devices during its first
presidency of the Council of the European Union.
Trained in Neuropharmacology, Medicine, Health Management and International Medical Business
in prestigious universities in France, United Kingdom and Romania, prior to assisting the Romanian
Government to harmonize its health technology assessment process within a European framework.
As physician, economist and biochemist by profession, with a PhD in Medical Business
Administration and Health Management, I am affiliated to over 25 international bodies such as the
World Medical Association, the International Society for Quality in Health Care and supporting
important initiatives promoted by the WHO.
In parallel, I hold an academic position in Bucharest, in Public Health Policies and European
Policies, and I (co)authored over 70 works – books, book chapters and scientific articles, WoS
published and cited internationally, some of them outcomes of collaborations in over 10 scientific
projects funded internationally.
